• Demonstrated Construction Administration experience as a Contract Administrator or the equivalent of 5 or more similar
• Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) or municipal projects with construction values of least between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000 or greater is an asset
• Either registration as a Professional Engineer with PEO or as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. with Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA) designation
• Prior MTO T131 and T131A Advanced Claims Dispute Resolution training is an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS), Ontario Provincial Standard Drawings (OPSD), Contract Documents including Agreements, General Conditions of Contracts, and Special Provisions
• Knowledge of construction survey and layout
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Knowledge of the requirements of relevant legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Environmental Protection Act
• Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access)
• Experience working with MS Project or Primavera is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician
• Minimum 10 years experience in Road and/or Heavy Construction

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
