Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Role Summary A leading project management and construction delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support its project teams. This role is ideal for a senior professional who excels in contract interpretation, claims management, documentation, and stakeholder coordination—ensuring projects run smoothly and fully comply with contractual obligations. Key Responsibilities Contract Administration & Daily Project Support Manage the day‑to‑day contractual administration of assigned projects, ensuring all contractual and claim‑related events are monitored, documented, and escalated when necessary. Provide early identification of potential risks and opportunities, recommending proactive measures to the project team. Interpret contract terms and work closely with project managers, site teams, and legal representatives when contractual issues arise. Correspondence & Documentation Review, log, track, and manage all incoming and outgoing project correspondence. Draft contractual letters, coordinate reviews with project management and senior stakeholders, and ensure timely issuance. Support the setup and oversight of document control systems. Maintain comprehensive records including correspondence, meeting minutes, photos, and other relevant documents. Meetings & Stakeholder Engagement Participate in internal project status meetings, providing updates on claims, risks, and contractual matters. Attend and support client, consortium, supplier, and technical meetings when required. Review minutes of meetings to ensure accuracy and proper documentation. Assist in organising workshops to enhance claim and change management awareness among project team members. Reporting Support project reporting requirements by contributing contractual insights and documentation. Prepare monthly reports for senior management detailing Notices of Claim, active claims, change orders, key correspondence, and significant upcoming events. Claims Management Manage both incoming and outgoing claims throughout the project lifecycle. For incoming claims: verify entitlement, collect supporting records, assess risks, and develop defensive strategies with the project team. For outgoing claims: prepare claim notifications, compile substantiation, draft formal claim submissions, and support negotiation processes. Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with contractual deadlines and requirements. Dispute Resolution Assist senior management and legal teams with dispute resolution processes, including document preparation and detailed investigation of contractual issues. Project Acceptance & Closeout Support the process of obtaining acceptance certificates and verifying that contractual deliverables have been fulfilled. Ensure all contract administration records are properly archived after project completion. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering. At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in contract administration. Strong working knowledge of standard contract forms such as PAM, FIDIC (Red, Yellow & Silver Books), CIDB 2022, and bespoke agreement structures. Familiarity with country‑specific regulations, including Contracts Act, Arbitration Act, and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA). Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and correspondence. Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
