Job Description Personalised career progression plans to help you achieve your goals Join a market leader in sustainability and help build a better world for all Join a VIC - Big Build Project - The M80 Ring Road Completion Project Competitive salary in line with experience + Acciona Bonus Incentive Scheme + Salary Sacrifice/Novated Leasing The Project The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion. The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028. Key accountabilities for the position Provide support to the project team for the effective management of subcontractor and supplier payments in accordance with the contract terms (including any security of payment requirements). Review of legitimacy of, and undertake the assessment of, subcontractor variations in conjunction with the construction team. Provide support in the development and maintenance of the project agreement templates (including subcontract agreements, supply agreements, professional services agreements etc.) Observe and ensure that the procurement control is maintained and current in its content. Provide support in the development and implementation of forecasting and cost control processes / strategy, including the identification of roles and responsibilities within the project team to permit open and transparent reporting. Actively participate in the trade forecasting in conjunction with the Engineers Under the direction of the Commercial / Contract Manager, support the implementation of the project's commercial and contractual strategies. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of all controls required for the effective management of the Head Contract e.g. variation register etc. Required Skills and Competencies A tertiary education in construction law or engineering with substantial experience managing contracts for large infrastructure projects Able to build and maintain strong relationships. To negotiate and persuade, influence and to obtain win/win outcomes. Fostering sustainable relationships with subcontractors.
