JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Contracts Administrator is a full-time role responsible for managing AFD Petroleum Ltd.’s contracts with customers, vendors, and business partners, ensuring compliance with all agreed terms and conditions. This role involves collaborating closely with the Management team and external stakeholders throughout the entire contract lifecycle. The Senior Contracts Administrator ensures adherence to applicable international, federal, provincial, and municipal laws, as well as company policies and procedures. A key responsibility is assessing risks associated with new and existing contracts and proactively recommending continuous improvements to optimize the company’s financial and operational performance

OTHER KEY SKILLS (OR KNOWLEDGE)

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk assessment principles.
  • Knowledge of business organization, procurement practices, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and legally sound documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract language and identify key legal and financial implications.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Executive team in the creation, execution, and analysis of contracts to maximize AFD Petroleum Ltd.’s financial and operational performance.
  • Administer and manage all AFD Petroleum Ltd.’s contracts with customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, documenting any agreed changes and/or amendments.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Assist in the coordination and acquisition of new and replacement contracts.
  • Monitor contract renewal dates and prepare for their replacement or renewal.
  • Assess and evaluate the risks associated with new and existing contracts.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to improve contract management policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Research and recommend best practices and contract process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance contract efficiency and risk control.
  • Work with HSE to meet compliance requirements.
  • Communicate contract terms and execution methods across internal departments-Finance, Operations, HSE, and Transport.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.
