JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Contracts Officer will manage, negotiate, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards within the FPSO sector. This role is critical for supporting project execution, mitigating risks, and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the oil and gas or FPSO industry.Strong understanding of commercial terms, legal frameworks, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Skills: Proficiency in contract management software and tools.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Detail-oriented with a strong ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of FPSO design, construction, and operational contracts.
  • Familiarity with international maritime and oil and gas regulations.
  • Certification in contract management (e.g., IACCM, NCMA) is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Contract Drafting and Administration: Prepare, review, and revise contracts, ensuring alignment with company standards and legal requirements.Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts and monitor their lifecycle.
  • Negotiation: Support the negotiation of contract terms with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.Resolve contractual disputes promptly and amicably.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations specific to FPSO operations.Identify and mitigate risks in contracts to safeguard company interests.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, procurement, and project management, to align on contractual terms.Serve as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders regarding contractual matters.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on contract performance, risks, and compliance.Maintain accurate records of contractual documents for audits and future reference.
