Description

CONTRACTUAL GOVERNANCE & LEGAL OVERSIGHT

  • Lead contract drafting, negotiation, and review for complex mechanical supply packages, ensuring alignment with alliance principles and relevant legislation
  • Interpret and advise on contractual clauses, including indemnities, warranties, limitations of liability, IP, liquidated damages, and force majeure
  • Ensure contracts adhere to public procurement guidelines and statutory compliance (e.g., relevant building codes, government frameworks, procurement regulations)
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks while maintaining commercial alignment and delivery integrity

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or Commercial Discipline (Legal/Contract Law training highly desirable)
  • 10+ years of experience in complex contract management within large-scale infrastructure or capital projects
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement regulations, alliance contracting models, and public sector governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience managing mechanical or technical supply contracts (preferably within transport, water, energy, or civil infrastructure)
  • Ability to review, redline, and negotiate complex commercial terms
  • Skilled in risk identification, change management, and supplier contract administration
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional advisory skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with government infrastructure project delivery environments
  • Experience working in a Joint Venture, Alliance, or PPP setting
