MARS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established mining organisation to recruit an experienced Contracts Specialist for an initial 6-month contract within its Contracts & Procurement team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contracts professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders and managing contracts through the full lifecycle.

About the Role

Working within the operational contracts team, you will manage a portfolio of services, operational and indirect contracts, supporting the business across sourcing, tendering, negotiation and ongoing post-award contract management.

This is a hands-on commercial role with a strong focus on ensuring suppliers are performing, contractual obligations are being met and operational stakeholders receive practical commercial support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contracts across the full contract lifecycle, from sourcing and tendering through to award, ongoing management, renewal and close-out
• Develop appropriate contracting and market engagement strategies
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFTs and RFPs, including evaluations and recommendations for award
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, service levels and contractual risk
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance, expenditure, commitments, KPIs and service levels
• Facilitate supplier performance and contract governance meetings
• Analyse spend, pricing, utilisation, claims and supplier performance to support commercial decisions
• Maintain accurate contract records, reporting and governance documentation
• Build strong relationships with operational teams, Contract Owners and suppliers
