Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist to support our Financial Crimes Operations utility (FCO) group. This position, sitting within the Chief Operating Office’s Control Management group, will partner with executive management to define and deliver initiatives and programs across front lines and build relationships with a wide variety of senior leaders and enterprise partners across all business groups to help develop and maintain a strong control environment leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of risk.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
- Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities andoperations
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with and knowledge of BSA/AML requirements for financial institutions (e.g., CIP, due diligence (including Beneficial Ownership requirements), Currency Transaction Reporting/Monetary Instrument Recordkeeping, transaction monitoring, PEPs) and other AML-related topic (e.g., adverse media screening, sanctions)
- Financial Crimes certification (ACAMS)
- Knowledge of issues management lifecycle (capture, plan, mitigate and monitor, sustainability, and validation)
- Risk and Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
- Experience in supporting one or more areas of risk including, Operational Risk, Technology or Compliance roles aligned to these groups
- Experience in designing, monitoring and/or remediation of operations and technology controls
- Experience in developing and/or monitoring key risk indicators
- Understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
- Understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) days remote
