EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• University degree and/or MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Strong skills in SAP BW and other common analytics applications, as well as MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Ability to present to senior management
• Ability to drive complex topics in a global organization
• Accuracy and ability to prioritize topics and their financial impact
• Very strong analytical skills, conceptual and structured thinking
• Strong personal commitment and stress resistance
• Self-managed, high customer orientation
• Ready for successful teamwork and hands-on work on senior management topics

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 6 years of professional work experience with focus on Controlling.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Engineering Controlling team supports all engineering units across different board areas within SAP. We are looking for a Business Unit Controller to support the Chief Product Officer (CPO) for ERP Private Cloud, SAP’s core product. You will work closely together with the Cloud ERP Financial Business Partner, its Operations team, and senior management for ERP Private Cloud. You will provide excellent financial business unit support and will be the first contact for the CPO regarding financial topics.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Manage financial performance for the ERP Private Cloud unit.
• Actively lead various activities to ensure overall financial performance, such as quarter end close, financial forecasting, budgeting, and safeguard financial compliance.
• Interact directly with top management in Engineering Business and Controlling.
• Focus on Cost of Cloud and Cost of Research & Development topics.
• Actively drive improvements for the Engineering Controlling (e.g. End-to-End-Product-Reporting).
