WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED ENGINEER WITH A TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS IN CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION.

You’re a problem-solver, a team player and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk, Citect)
  • Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Knowledge of ERP/MES systems.
  • TUV Safety Certification.
  • Strong understanding of machine safety standards and electrical design.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Work authorisation for Australia.

Responsibilities:

AS A SENIOR CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER AT FOODMACH, YOU WILL PLAY A PIVOTAL ROLE IN DESIGNING, DEVELOPING, AND COMMISSIONING CONTROL SYSTEMS THAT DRIVE AUTOMATION AND EFFICIENCY IN PACKAGING AND MANUFACTURING LINES.

You’ll be working on high-profile projects for major FMCG clients, ensuring that systems are fully integrated, operational and optimised.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated manufacturing and packaging lines.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end control system projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Develop functional specifications, technical documentation, and project reports.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for control system issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to deliver turnkey solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvements in system design, programming, and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
