Our 16,000 employees worldwide strive for innovation and detail and ensure that each customer receives the best quality in product and service.     RESPONSIBILITIES:   The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for the lead engineering, design, integration, programming, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), control instrumentation/components, and Industrial Networks for systems to support productivity and/or quality improvements for our clients. The position has responsibility for determining operational feasibility based on the analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Will prepare, review and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Additional responsibilities include participating in process improvement teams, training Level 1&2 Controls Engineers, advising PMs on best project execution plans, and main project lead on technical initiatives.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   1. Four-year bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline or equivalent experience. 2. Minimum 7 years of experience as a Controls Engineer Level 2 or equivalent experience. 3. Travel required.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   1. System Design - Lead and guide the Engineering Team in the following:  1. Create IO lists 2. Specify control system hardware based on an IO list 3. Research commercially available control system hardware and software 4. Develop bill of materials for specified hardware 5. Define system architecture and drawing requirements 6. Develop control system design documentation  7. Automation Detailed Functional Specification (ADFS) 8. flow diagrams 2. System Development - Lead and guide the Engineering Team in the following: 1. Equipment Configuration  * Configure hardware aspects of PLCs/HMIs/Networking equipment * Variable Frequency Drives * Field instrumentation         3.  Programming: *      a.  PLC * * setup and configure PLC programs * Set up and configure system IO and devices * IO mapping and scaling * Create and implement templatized and custom code using company standards and best practices * HMI/SCADA * Set up and configure applications * Build out dashboard and process detail screens with appropriate navigation * Create and implement graphical templates using company standards and best practices * System testing * Develop simulation logic * Design and execute functional tests of the control system 2. Quality Control and Assurance: * Review system development to ensure quality adherence * Developing quality check requirements to validate quality    3. System Deployment and Support - Lead and guide the Engineering Team in the following: 1. Install control systems including: * Hardware (PLC’s, HMI’s, Networking equipment, VFD’s, and field instrumentation) * Software 2. Complete control system check out procedures. * Powerup * IO and field instrumentation check out * HMI verification * Functional control system verification  * Markup electrical drawings sets to capture control system changes * Complete daily onsite reports to document commissioning progress, issues encountered, and updated assets. 3. Troubleshoot control systems * Electrical * Energized systems (up to 120 VAC and/or 24VDC) * Unenergized systems (up to 600 VAC) * All control system equipment  * Software    4. System Documentation   - Lead and guide the Engineering Team in the following: 1. Create and continuously improve standard project documentation (IO lists, RAILs, FATs/SATs, SOWs, FDS, etc.) 2. Create and continuously improve non-standard project documentation. 3. Support sales team with system design and engineering labor estimates. 4.
