POSITION SUMMARY

Develop and define various power generation control systems applications for ProEnergy Services by providing detailed control system software and hardware design engineering on various Programmable Logic Controller and Human-Machine Interface platforms. This position requires an individual that possesses a solid understanding of gas turbine electrical and mechanical control system hardware and software as well as exhibits strong systems engineering and communication skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant experience with various functional mechanisms such as the science and methodology of loop tuning and control systems configurations.
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in gas turbine or 15 years in various industrial process control software and systems.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in field service engineering.
  • Familiarity with various industrial control programming and system design (Rockwell, GE, Woodward, Ovation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GE and non-GE aeroderivative and heavy-duty gas turbines core programming, sequencing, and process instrumentation.
  • Retrofit or upgrade experience using multiple industrial platforms.
  • Solid understanding of programming environments and languages.
  • Visualization system skills.
  • Technical competence in industrial networks and communication protocols.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving ability and adept at communicating with several levels of the organization.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management environment.
  • Self-starter mindset and constant engagement in developing new skills.
  • Track record of handling steep learning curves and exhibiting can-do attitude.
  • Must work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven history of long cycle control system projects.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide control systems design technical leadership in a matrix environment. Accountable for on-time schedule performance, project milestones, customer deliverables, and compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Apply electrical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, program, test and troubleshoot control systems associated with the power generation business.
  • Review contract documentation and customer specifications, and have experience creating equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate control solutions.
  • Design systems for interfacing power generation equipment and evaluate all system components, requirements, and interactions.
  • Apply knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs.
  • Support customer meetings, assembly testing and field service of control systems.
  • Support field services team on project installation & commissioning.
  • Provide documentation including user manuals, control system specifications, and engineering procedures.
  • Frequently interact with customers and suppliers.
