Program Background The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) program implemented by DT Global. Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy and telecommunications sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG’s state-owned enterprise performance improvement program and delivering social infrastructure planning, design and construction services. Gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and social and environmental safeguards, locally-led development and climate change disaster and resilience are focuses of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP’s projects and operations. For more information, please see www.dt-global.com The Role The Senior Coordinator Communications and Public Diplomacy plans, delivers and evaluates communications and public diplomacy activities for ESIP and its portfolio of projects and activities across sectors such as energy, telecommunications and social infrastructure (produce markets, health centres and community facilities). The role will deliver high-quality communications, media and events functions, and play an important part in achieving the program’s public diplomacy objectives. Click on the link or copy paste it to access the full Terms of Reference for this position: TOR_Senior Coordinator, Communications and Public Diplomacy.pdf About You Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing or a related discipline will be highly regarded A minimum of 5 years of practical and demonstrated experience in delivering tailored communications and media activities, including in Papua New Guinea Practical, demonstrated experience in producing high quality communications materials and activities for a range of audiences Experience liaising with donor representatives, implementing partners, host government counterparts and community stakeholders to contribute to collaborative, locally led communications and public diplomacy activities Knowledge and / or understanding of applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
