What Patient Concierge contributes to Cardinal Health Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice. The Senior Coordinator, Patient Concierge is responsible for managing patients' authorizations for the medical care they receive while at South Bay Radiation Oncology Center. In addition, they will help cover front desk duties such as checking patients in, answering phones, verifying demographics, and other duties as needed. Responsibilities Authorization for radiation, consultations and all of the imaging the providers request Research and re-submit denials from billing department Verify patients’ benefits information including their deductibles and co-insurance information Collecting time of service payments prior to the patient receiving their treatment or setting up a payment plan for the patient prior to treatment services Will assist and help cover front desk duties including check in, check out, answering phones, scheduling appointments Pull medical records to make sure patients have labs, testing, imaging or anything that the provider needs prior to their appointment Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary Experience working in a busy, fast-paced medical office setting, highly preferred High School Diploma or equivalent experience, preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred 3-6 years of experience, preferred Experience accessing and updating an EMR system, preferred Bilingual in Spanish What is expected of you and others at this level Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution Refers to policies and past practices for guidance Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments Consults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems Location South Bay Radiation Oncology Center 959 Lane Ave Chula Vista, CA 91914 Anticipated hourly range: $23 per hour - $27 per hour Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
