Humana’s Customer Experience (CX) team within the Retail Insurance business was formed to deliver one thing: a personalized, seamless, and easy healthcare experience for all our health plan members. This team operates with a mandate to break down traditional silos and design solutions based on how our members seek and receive care. By teaming differently, pioneering agile methodologies, and relentlessly focusing on the human experience, the Customer Experience Design Strategy team seeks to deliver on this promise for all our members.
We are looking for a Senior Copywriter who is human-centered, detail-oriented, and collaborative. You will work surrounded by peers with diverse backgrounds but a common strategic skillset, delivering product and service experiences for consumers that help members achieve their best health. You will partner with product managers, experience strategists, researchers and business stakeholders to bring clear, concise and consistent information and messaging to the end-to-end customer experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 2+ years of human-centered design experience or experience leveraging research to inform approach
  • 5+ years copywriting experience
  • Demonstrated experience working quickly and efficiently to support various stages of the design process (e.g., research, synthesis, prototyping, testing)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience applying user research to inform writing approaches
  • Ability to educate collaborators on copy best practices and guidelines
  • Past experience writing for insurance or other highly regulated industries

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project work with limited oversight, facilitate conversations with stakeholders, and make recommendations to management
  • Create copy aligned to the content strategy, Humana’s brand voice and tone and business requirements
  • Write across a wide range of touchpoints including digital, print, automated chat and contact center
  • Present complex topics in consumer-friendly language
  • Manage content through the review process, including legal/compliance approval
  • Become fluent in Humana’s editorial standards and legal/compliance requirements
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of content guidelines, standards, tools and processes
  • Help design copy testing for comprehension and recall
