Responsibilities

WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS

AgroFresh is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate finance team. This role is a critical position responsible for contributing to key corporate accounting processes. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of improving financial accounting efficiency and accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF RELATIVE IMPORTANCE

  • Support day-to-day accounting processes: including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Assist with special and ad hoc projects as assigned.
