Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for various month-end close duties, including account reconciliations, intercompany accounting and assisting with various internal and external financial reporting. This role partners closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and cross-functional leaders to drive financial integrity, operational efficiency, and informed business decision-making. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Responsible for accounting and reconciliation of accruals (benefits, insurance, audit, legal, interest etc.) Prepare the monthly lease entry and provide the trial balance for reconciliation purposes Prepare the analysis and the coding for the monthly credit card activity. Prepare intercompany billings, allocations and reconciliations Responsible for bank account reconciliations Work with team to improve processes and gain efficiencies Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of adjusting entries and accruals Assist with external audit including preparation of audit schedules and documentation. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed Requirements Job Requirements Proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills preferred Excellent analytical, organization, written and verbal communication Strong problem-solving skills to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable items Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Proactive and detail-oriented Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required CPA or CMA certification preferred 4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role About Us Brook & Whittle Ltd. is one of North America’s leading Sustainable Labeling Solutions providers, producing pressure sensitive, flexographic and shrink sleeve labels for many of the nation’s leading brands.
