Robinhood is looking for a skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our rapidly growing Corporate Accounting team. We are seeking driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities – a self-starter who can work independently but who is also a good team-player. This individual will need to be able to pick things up quickly and be able to meet deadlines with multiple tasks. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3days per week. What you’ll do Prepare and execute journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules including intercompany journal entries. Support month end close process including assisting with global consolidation process Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances. Perform and document intercompany balance reconciliations, investigating variances, FX differences, and timing mismatches Assist with compiling internal team requests and external audit requests. Research important accounting issues and suggest best practices and applications in accordance with accounting standards. Work cross functionally with tax, technical accounting and business systems teams Establish accounting processes for consolidations and transfer pricing, including providing stakeholders with accounting requirements and setting up monthly accounting processes. Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes. Assist with system automation projects as needed. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3-5 years of total experience, preferably combined in public accounting and industry Understanding of GAAP standards Strong analytical and organizational skills Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets Hands-on experience in the financial close process (preferred) Experience with foreign entity accounting and consolidations What we offer Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career. In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits. Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
