THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) stands as a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution dedicated to advancing Chinese medicine in Hong Kong and is expected to commence operation in phases at the end of 2025. Established through a public-private partnership, the hospital is being constructed by the government, with HKBU appointed as the contractor in June 2021 through a tendering process. Subsequently, HKBU registered “HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited” as the operator in accordance with the requirements of the service deed, which is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of CMHHK. A hallmark of CMHHK is its integrated approach, blending Chinese and Western medicine to provide professional patient care. CMHHK will actively engage in various interactions and collaborate with the industry to promote the development of Chinese medicine across Hong Kong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and international institutions. Senior Corporate Communications Officer (25260360) Responsibilities: Report to Head of Institutional Advancement and Corporate Communications and be responsible for the following duties: Support the development of media communication strategies and collaborate with different teams to facilitate positive media coverage through activities such as media interviews, press conferences, and publicity events; Draft, edit, and manage a variety of publicity materials and content for distribution across internal and external communication platforms; including press releases, lines-to-take, Q&As, social media posts, speeches, write-ups for publication, and video content and messages for publicity and issue management purposes; Identify and develop newsworthy stories to enhance positive media exposure for the hospital; Handle media enquiries and assist in managing public affairs and related issues; Monitor media and social media coverage, assist in handling enquiries related to the Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong, and support the review and preparation of replies to stakeholders’ complaints; Help maintain and update various communication platforms to support corporate branding; Ensure compliance with communication policies and procedures, and maintain up-to-date records and archives; Assist with the production, distribution, and inventory of souvenirs; Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required; Provide administrative support to the team; and Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) from time to time. Requirements: A recognised bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Communication Studies or related discipline; At least five years of work experience in corporate communications and media relations; Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with demonstrated creativity and a proven ability to produce compelling and impactful content; Experience in networking with media; Strong sensitivity in current affairs and political landscape; Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to work independently with strong project management skills; Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; and Willingness to work on weekends and outside office hours when required. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in December 2025. Subject to performance and the decision of the CMHHK, the offer of further appointment, if any, will be made by the CMHHK. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a written test. Work location: The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O. Salary will be commensurated with qualifications and experience.
