Description
We are looking for an experienced, pro-active, Senior Corporate Security Manager to join our diverse, well respected team.
In this role, you will partner with leaders and teams across Weyerhaeuser using exceptional communication, problem solving, analytical and leadership skills, to develop and drive company strategies and objectives. Our team leverages its knowledge and understanding of the Weyerhaeuser Vision, company assets, business, and leadership expectations to collaborate and provide risk management guidance and support.
You will be part of the Law department and will work closely with company leaders to develop and manage security programs at the company headquarters and all sites throughout the US and Canada. As a Senior Corporate Security Manager, you will help identify and monitor security risk, support and partner with strategic and front-line leaders, and will drive continuous improvement of our initiatives and capabilities. This position reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, and will consult with the Senior Management team to align our risk strategies with our business performance.

  • Lead Corporate Security Program and Serve as a Liaison to Strategic Frontline Leaders
  • Ensure Response and Recovery Efforts are Relevant and Reliable
  • Balance Strategic Efforts with Tactical Security Actions

Additional Responsibilities:

  • May lead and mentor a team of safety managers and professionals.
  • May coordinate safety efforts across multiple locations to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Assist in Executive Protection Assessment at High Risk Venues. Conduct site visit and analysis for events. Brief Executives on Intelligence updates domestically and internationally
  • Engage with senior leadership to advocate for safety and integrate it into business operations.
  • Oversee complex safety projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with corporate objectives.
  • Analyze safety performance data and provide strategic recommendations to improve safety outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security, business, legal or human resources, or related field
  • At least 10 years law enforcement, security management, crisis preparedness, or military experience
  • In-depth knowledge of organization security programs, response procedures and preparedness
  • Strong proven security leadership with the ability to manage, inform, and coordinate people
  • Self-starter with the ability to engage leaders and teams in safety and security training and education
  • Confidence and competency to identify, analyze, and investigate security related incidents and calls
  • Ability to support multiple business units with security policies, procedures and related needs
  • Present to leaders and team members at all levels
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, consulting, and influencing skills
  • Strong, proactive leadership to effectively drive change
  • Understands complex issues and leads and owns decisions that have company-wide impacts
  • Effectively works within and across teams to provide expertise and solve problems
  • Flexible and creative in analyzing different ways to solving problems
  • Ability to travel on short notice (15% to 20%)
