The Senior Correspondence and Briefings Officer is a vital member of the Customer Service team at the City of Sydney, responsible for preparing accurate and timely responses to community inquiries on behalf of the Office of the Lord Mayor and the Office of the CEO. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that all written materials are of high quality, consistent, and relevant, contributing to our commitment to leading, governing, and serving the community while working towards the Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050 vision.

  • strong experience in preparing and coordinating correspondence for senior leadership, ensuring timely and accurate responses to the community.
  • excellent relationship-building skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, developing a comprehensive understanding of key issues and initiatives affecting the City.
  • exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, plain English communications that are easily understood.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and a criminal history check.
