JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and analyzing costs, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing insightful financial reports to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, cost management, and accounting principles, along with proficiency in various accounting software.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent skills in financial report writing and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost management practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and financial analysis.
  • Experience with double entry bookkeeping principles including debits & credits.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify trends and variances.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and assist in forecasting future financial performance.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity and working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for operational improvements.
  • Utilize ERP systems for data collection and financial analysis.
  • Write comprehensive financial reports that interpret data for management review.
  • Assist in payroll processing and technical accounting tasks as needed.
