Description
The Senior Cost Accountant oversees the costing systems and all product costs throughout the company. Permanent Full-Time (40 hours) Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid In this role, you will: Oversee the costing systems to ensure that material, labor, and overhead are allocated properly to products Prepare Cost per Unit (CPU) reports to support the manufacturing plants and provide recommendations to improve efficiencies and ways to lower costs Review the monthly financial statements of the manufacturing plants and analyze the monthly variance reports to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the results Perform quarterly global cost updates for all stock codes in all companies Analyze and ensure that the transfer prices for all finished goods stock codes correspond to the company’s transfer pricing policy Oversee costing related and/or system integration projects by analyzing the impact on the system You have: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or another relevant field Certifications: CPA, CMA (or actively working towards certification) Experience in a finance or accounting role (5+ years) Strong understanding of GAAP and ASPE Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting Prior experience with MRP and ERP Accounting Systems, Financial reporting systems Strong understanding of bills of material (BOM) and bills of operations (BOO) Strong MS Excel skills (V-lookups, H-lookups, Pivot tables) including experience in manipulating large databases using Power BI, Power Query Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) (an asset) You get: Great benefits (healthcare, health & personal spending accounts, wellness days, Employee & Family Assistance Program) Company provided RRSP Loyalty share program (based on service length) $300.00 per year to spend on company products Employee discount pricing Employee appreciation events & rewards Free onsite parking Bus pass reimbursement Exclusive discounts with various vendors Employee wellness sessions Why us?
