Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for product costing, inventory management, and interdepartmental coordination with customer services, procurement, production, product costing, and logistics. This role requires leadership in physical inventory counts and the implementation of innovative, efficient, and controlled inventory processes. The incumbent must develop and oversee product cost accumulation systems to provide management with critical financial information. DATA COLLECTION: Develop and implement comprehensive data accumulation systems for cost and inventory accounting Establish and review rigorous controls for data accumulation and reporting systems COSTING AND INVENTORY: Oversee new item setup processes Conduct in-depth product cost and inventory analyses, providing management with actionable reports and communicating significant changes to the Pricing Manager Ensure accuracy of standard costs and implement updates as necessary Generate detailed product cost variance reports and recommend adjustments when required Systematically monitor and track raw material costs Validate material costs as an integral part of month-end closing procedures Spearhead and manage the disposal of obsolete inventory Direct inventory physical counts, thoroughly investigate counting variances, and implement corrective actions Perform precise calculations of actual product costs upon request Enhance and fortify internal controls related to inventory management Rigorously monitor and control inventory movement, generating comprehensive reports as required Execute month-end closing activities pertaining to product cost and inventory accounting with utmost precision Ensure strict adherence to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001 standards, as well as company policies and procedures Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting/finance, preferably in inventory and cost accounting Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of cost accounting principles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in English Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
