Position Title: Senior Cost Control Engineer
Company: Ramah General Contracting & Transport LLC
Department: Finance / Cost Control
Reporting To: CFO / Project Control Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cost control within the construction/contracting industry in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle / SAP / Microsoft Dynamics), MS Excel, and cost control software.
  • Solid understanding of UAE Labour Law, project contracts, and commercial terms.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure and civil construction projects is preferred.

4. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills (English required, Arabic is an advantage).
  • Team player with cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

1. POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs across Ramah’s construction and transport projects. The role ensures accurate forecasting, cost reporting, and alignment with budgets to support effective decision-making and profitability.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting.
  • Prepare project budgets, cost breakdowns, and forecasts in coordination with project managers and finance.
  • Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and invoicing against approved budgets.
  • Identify cost variances and provide corrective action recommendations.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier payment certificates and verify cost allocations.
  • Conduct cost analysis for manpower, equipment, and materials usage.
  • Support tendering and estimation teams with cost data and historical trends.
  • Prepare monthly cost control reports (budget vs actual) for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ERP systems, and UAE statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with project teams, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate cost tracking.
