SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior controller or finance manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK financial reporting standards, tax compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Experience in both property investment/management and technology/fast-growth businesses preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-company finances and consolidate group accounts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Controller & Administrator to oversee the financial operations and administrative management of both Channex Property Group and Cortium Sports Ltd. This is a senior role with an opportunity to grow, responsible for ensuring robust financial control, compliance, strategic financial planning, and smooth administration across both organizations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing operational finance with strategic oversight, supporting the growth of a dynamic property group and a fast-developing sports business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FINANCIAL CONTROL & MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee and improve Banking and automation.
  • Improve governance and procurement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts with variance analysis and insights.
  • Consolidate and report on group-level financials across Channex Property Group and Cortium Sports Ltd.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management to ensure optimal liquidity and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management processes.
