ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will play a major role in ensuring the financial success of our projects. You will be responsible for all cost engineering deliverables for a particular project or portfolio of projects. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accurate and consistent cost tracking, managing accruals, and providing insightful variance explanations to the Finance department.

  • Oversee internal and external project cost status reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent cost tracking.
  • Manage accruals, forecasts, cash flow inputs, invoice handling, and preparation of requisitions.
  • Deliver variance explanations to the Finance department.
  • Develop and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Handle project changes with cost impact (management of Change).
  • Identify, analyze, and track cost changes versus sanctioned budgets.
  • Develop and manage contingency drawdown plans.
  • Prepare and follow-up on Manpower Projection Plans and man-hour cost estimates.
  • Correlate cost data with other project data (schedules, manpower, productivity, etc.), investigate variances, prepare analysis, highlight inconsistencies, and propose mitigating actions.
  • Provide general Project Management support.
  • Utilize tools such as SAP, EcoSys, PowerBI, and Pims

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in cost engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
