Cumming Group Ireland Ltd provides independent consultancy services across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. We work with some of the largest private, public, and utility sector clients and pride ourselves on delivering an excellent service.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Cost Manager to join our Dublin-based team. This role will involve working as part of a team responsible for the commercial management of major infrastructure projects across Ireland. You will support the NEC4 Project Manager by providing strategic direction and overseeing a high-performing commercial management team within the client organisation.
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home and our Dublin office.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10+ years of commercial management experience, with at least 5 years on high-value road and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Degree qualified in construction, quantity surveying, cost management, engineering, or other RICS-accredited fields.
  • MRICS (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent pre- and post-contract cost management experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and RIPAC.
Responsibilities
  • Lead or support bid and tender preparation and contribute to business development activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day project delivery and operate autonomously where required.
  • Monitor project budgets and resource utilisation.
  • Ensure effective change control processes are applied.
  • Deliver cost management outputs to a high quality, on time and within budget.
  • Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, tender documents, and client reports.
  • Provide procurement and contract advice.
  • Administer contracts, including valuations, forecasting, reporting, and attending project meetings.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives across service lines.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members and contribute to staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with internal QA, H&S, and client governance procedures.
  • Engage in networking and client relationship development.
