Description Position Summary: This position performs credit analysis, works closely with commercial lenders in the underwriting process by spreading financial statements in the bank’s spread software, completes thorough credit analysis for the bank’s larger and more complex commercial credits/relationships, prepares and presents loan packets and annual reviews to loan committee and monitors the collection of required financial information. This position functions with general supervision by the AVP Credit Analyst II. Major Duties and Accountabilities: Takes part in and embrace the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Plays significant role in the commercial loan underwriting process by: Accurately spreads customer financial statements in bank’s spread software. Reviews financial statements and tax returns and prepares specific project cash flows and global cash flows for more complex credits. Prepares annual reviews to be reviewed by the Credit Analyst Manager. Prepares loan packets including credit analysis and the credit memo. Presents loan requests and annual reviews to SLC/DLC as necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of bank loan policy as well as regulatory/compliance issues. Stays current with changing regulatory environment. Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of underwriting procedures and processes. Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent. 3 years credit analyst and/or lending experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area. 4 years credit analyst and/or lending experience.
