Principal Accountabilities: Support the Head of Retail Credit Risk, HK & Macau and lead a team of credit risk managers in managing retail credit risk associated with the Hong Kong credit card and Macau portfolios Take charge of retail credit risk and manage credit policies/strategies for assigned portfolios to enable sustainable business growth within loss appetite and Risk Management Framework. Deliver risk steward responsibilities in reviewing and challenging control standards of first line functions. Accountable for the risk profiles and loan impairment of AMH cards and Macau portfolios Proactively manage the credit policy framework and ensure it is set in line with economic and portfolio trends, regulations and global/regional policies. Develop and embed risk strategy pertaining to credit cards to deliver long-term sustainable growth within risk appetite. Leverage data, analytics, models, bureau and systems to drive automated and timely actions for initial approval, proactive cross sell and limit management. Administer the dissemination of credit policies and work with Risk System / IT teams to ensure accuracy of policy implementation Develop relevant MIS for effective monitoring of delinquency, loss, vintage performance, profitability, acquisition trend & profiles. Analyze portfolio and identify opportunities in optimizing risk & reward trade-off decisions, product offers, customer segments, credit procedures, etc. Escalate credit cards emerging risk issues timely and ensure appropriate mitigating actions are developed and implemented swiftly engaging all key stakeholders. Manage credit risk of MMO’s retail credit portfolio and adjust credit policies in accordance with the agreed MMO business strategy and risk appetite. Manage stakeholders including local and HK management. Recommend and execute new innovations on credit cards and credit risk management infrastructure. Manage and coach a team of credit managers in delivering the above responsibilities. Build and maintain good rapport with Business, credit operations and other functions within Risk teams Qualifications: University graduate with rich banking experience in retail risk management In-depth understanding of the Hong Kong credit environment, regulatory landscape, credit cards / loans products, profit dynamics and unsecured lending practices is advantageous Strong skills on consumer credit cycle management, decision making, use of credit scorecards and analytics, problem articulation and solving Highly motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, cross functional teams and external parties. Ability to drive constructive business outcomes independently under tight timeline Experience in dealing with external stakeholders including regulators, banking industry associations and external auditors is preferred Sound communication, good negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent command in English
