About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Manager to join our Group Wholesale Banking Credit Management team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and approving credit applications from Corporate Banking and Investment Banking, identifying and mitigating credit risks, and ensuring that quality assets are booked. You will work closely with lending units and play a key role in maintaining strong credit discipline, efficiency, and compliance across the portfolio. What you will be doing Conduct credit evaluation and assessment of credit applications from Corporate Banking and Investment Bank, including regional offices, to identify and mitigate key credit risks. Approve credit applications within delegated discretionary authority limits and jointly approve higher-risk proposals where required. Identify salient credit risk issues in proposals and recommend appropriate structures, terms, and mitigation measures to meet approving authority expectations. Work closely with Lending Units to strengthen credit proposals through discussions, structuring support, and joint site visits. Ensure agreed turnaround time for credit evaluation is consistently met to support an efficient approval process. Monitor portfolio renewal positions to ensure zero overdue reviews at quarter-end. Stay updated on industry trends and highlight adverse market developments for management attention. Provide relief support to other Credit Managers when required to ensure continuity of workflow. Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. What we’re looking for Degree in finance, business, or a related discipline. Minimum 7 years of experience in credit evaluation for corporate loans or private debt securities. Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, including financial ratio and risk analysis. Professional credit certification such as CSA, CCP, CCP-i, or Omega Programme is an advantage. Good business and credit judgement, with strong analytical and writing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders. A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
