Description
Senior Credit Officer role ensures effective credit risk management and supports healthy company cash flow by balancing sales growth with prudent credit control. The Senior Credit Officer contributes by assessing creditworthiness, monitoring receivables, and driving collection performance, ensuring sustainable business growth while minimizing financial risk. Responsibilities: Credit Risk Management Timely review and assessment of 100% new customer applications Maintain updated credit limits, payment terms, and risk ratings Conduct periodic reviews for key and high-risk accounts Accounts Receivable & Collection Reduce Debtor Days (DSO) and overdue receivables Achieve on-time collection targets (monthly) Minimize bad debt exposure and write-offs Business Support Provide credit recommendations to support sales growth with risk control Support order release decisions based on credit status Participate in customer engagement for resolving payment issues Reporting & Analysis Deliver timely reports on: AR aging & Overdue accounts Customer risk profile Identify trends and recommend improvement actions Compliance & Governance Ensure 100% compliance with credit policy and approval matrix Maintain complete and accurate documentation Support audit readiness and governance standards Qualification and/or experience required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field 5–8 years’ experience in credit control / AR / collections Preferred qualifications and experience: Experience in manufacturing / construction / B2B industry Strong understanding of: credit evaluation, receivables management, collection strategies, financial statement basics, invoicing and dispute resolution. Familiar with LC, SKBDN, bank guarantee, or financing instruments Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel At NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
