How you'll make an impact In this role, you will sit at the heart of AMP’s Cyber Defence Centre, playing a critical part in protecting the organisation from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. You’ll be hands‑on in detecting, investigating and responding to security incidents, working across a broad technology landscape to identify indicators of compromise and contain threats before they escalate. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining AMP’s security posture and protecting the systems and information that customers, partners and employees rely on every day. Beyond response, you’ll help shape how cyber defence is done at AMP. You’ll drive continuous improvement across detection, threat hunting and incident response, refining playbooks, tuning alerts and introducing automation and smarter ways of working. Collaborating closely with internal technology teams and external service providers, you’ll influence how threats are identified, prioritised and mitigated, helping AMP move further toward a proactive, intelligence‑led security model. What you'll bring to the role You’ll bring deep, hands‑on cyber security experience, with a strong background in incident response, threat hunting and security event analysis across complex enterprise environments. You’re comfortable working across a wide range of security technologies (including SIEM, XDR, WAF, CASB and endpoint protection) and you know how to distinguish real threats from noise. You’ve operated in high‑pressure environments, responding to incidents within agreed SLAs, and you understand how to work collaboratively across IT and security teams to drive effective outcomes. Equally important is how you work. You’re analytical, curious and methodical, with a genuine passion for information security. You communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and take ownership of improving processes, tooling and automation. With a strong understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST and kill chain methodologies, plus solid knowledge across Windows, Linux and cloud environments, you’re ready to lead investigations, influence defensive strategy, and help lift cyber maturity across the organisation.
