About the role We have an opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to be part of our Cyber Security, Technology and Communication Services Command. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of secure technology solutions that protect critical law enforcement systems, sensitive data, and operational integrity. This role embeds security into digital infrastructure and aligns cyber capabilities with policing priorities, which enables NSWPF to confidently adopt new technologies, maintain public trust, and ensure the secure and effective delivery of policing services to the community. Working in the Cyber Defence Centre as part of the Technology & Communication Services Command of NSW Police offers the chance to contribute to one of the largest police forces in the western world while shaping cutting-edge capabilities that directly enhance community safety and modern policing. It also provides exposure to rapidly evolving cyber environments, next-generation policing systems, and a growing, well-resourced team committed to combating emerging digital threats. Strategic & Hands-On Balance – This position will involve technical and strategic—not just operational, and involvement in architectural decisions, influencing secure design across platforms.
