Role Highlights As Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will ensure access to all IT managed systems is authorised, registered and controlled to prevent accidental or malicious damage to data and equipment. You will also design and implement security solutions, ensuring security standards, policies and all current practical security measures are implemented, tested and are kept current and fully documented. In this diverse, hands-on role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with the security direction for the Divisional and Branch Strategic Plans to ensure it is relevant for the outcomes the business is seeking to achieve. Assist in the development of Risk Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans that support the IT Branch and the business. Analyse performance and availability of the business’ IT Security Systems and Services, identify problem areas, design, propose and implement solutions to enhance these IT Security Systems and Services. Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and approved standards. What Makes You a Great Fit Your well-developed communication and leadership skills means you have the ability to engage people and generate support towards effective IT security principles. You also have sound understanding of how to balance cyber security and operational effectiveness using risk management techniques. You’ll also bring: Possession of an information security related qualification or extensive recent experience in an IT Security role. Demonstrated experience in developing strategic security plans, taking into consideration the enterprise architecture, current and future state. Demonstrated experience in developing security standards and controls across a variety of technology stacks including networks, operating systems, databases and websites.
