We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Architect with at least 8 years of experience to support the implementation of defense-in-depth strategies to protect the IT environment. The Senior Cybersecurity Architect will provide security engineering support and facilitate ongoing risk management efforts to ensure that IT networks and systems maintain the appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The Senior Cybersecurity Architect’s responsibilities will include:
· Provide dedicated support for cybersecurity engineering.
· Conduct network audits, analyze the results, and provide corrective actions.
· Perform risk and vulnerability assessments of networks and systems.
· Ensure that security engineering tasks and solutions meet internal and regulatory requirements.
· Review, analyze, and document the security requirements of applications, systems, and networks across their life cycles.
· Develop, review, and revise security assessment plans and system security plans.
· Advise stakeholders on network and system risks, and appropriate mitigation actions.
· Recommend technology upgrades and modifications based on evolving technologies, best practices, and strategic initiatives.
· Evaluate and develop architectures for security solutions and tools. Create policies for the appropriate use of security tools and solutions, including:
o Firewalls
o SSL/IPSec
o Security incident and event management (SIEM)
o Data loss prevention (DLP)
o Encryption
o User account management
o Password/key management
· Assess ports the protocols used by IT infrastructures, systems, platforms, products, applications, and network security devices.
· Serve as a subject matter expert in network architecture, database design, platform security, and helping IT teams comply with internal and regulatory security requirements.
· Develop the business, information, and technical artifacts the constitute the enterprise information security architecture. Ensure that security architecture standards and solutions align with business objectives and meet regulatory requirements.
· Review third-party products and services to ensure that they meet security standards and can be seamlessly integrated into the IT environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

· 8 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including 3 years of experience as an architect.
· Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or related field.
· Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including CIS, ISO, and NIST standards.
· Experience working in public sector environments highly preferred.
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification highly preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
