CGI is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Expert who will work with multiple clients in a variety of industries on cybersecurity strategy, maturity, architecture, transformation, operations and modernization. As Cybersecurity Expert you will be responsible to grow CGI’s cybersecurity practice in Western Canada and provide hands-on experience to our clients.
As a CGI member in our Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Vancouver, Winnipeg or Victoria offices, you will work directly with a large team of experienced Analysts, Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and subject matter experts to support you on your journey. You will become a key member of our Emerging Technologies team and drive forward the delivery of some of the most exciting projects in Western Canada. You will work as our key cybersecurity expert and help grow our cybersecurity consulting practice. Highly desirable to be certified in one or more of the following CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SANS GIAC such as GCFW, GCIA, GCWN.

Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge and experience in multiple security technologies such as: Security Information Event Management (SIEM), VPN, Firewalls, NG-FWs, Web Content Filtering, Internet Policy Enforcement, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
  • Provide cybersecurity strategies for clients
  • Delivery of cybersecurity consulting projects, including cybersecurity maturity assessments
  • Provide direction and guidance based on cybersecurity experience
  • Support client CISO and teams with best practices and approaches
  • Support clients with cybersecurity operations evolution, including SOC and DevSecOps
  • Interacting with clients from all levels
  • Participating in multiple assignments at the same time
  • Deliver client presentations with a focus on business development
  • Mentor other cybersecurity consultants and grow cybersecurity consulting practice in Western Canada
  • Maintain awareness of trends in IT security technology and regulatory requirements
  • Design cybersecurity service solutions to satisfy client requirements considering operational supportability, deployment and operational costs, and risk mitigation for both the client and CGI
  • Contribute to the technical response to client requests for proposals related to cybersecurity

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • 10+ years of directly related IT experience with at least 5 years of recent security experience
  • Successfully graduated from a Computer Science/Information Technology program
  • Certified in one or more of the following CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SANS GIAC such as GCFW, GCIA, GCWN
  • Demonstrated experience in hands on Cybersecurity projects
  • Experienced with cloud cybersecurity
  • Experienced cybersecurity expert with a focus on risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment with limited supervision

Assets:

  • Understanding of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level II (Secret)
