What we are looking for:
Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Strategist to support our federal customer.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Strategist to lead and support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives within a complex federal environment. This position is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality cybersecurity support across strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, executive communications, and technical advisory functions.
The Senior Cybersecurity Strategist will serve as the primary liaison to senior cybersecurity leadership, providing direct support to key executives and ensuring the implementation of existing and emerging cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of cybersecurity subject matter expertise, program management skills, and strategic insight to drive mission-aligned outcomes across the organization.
This is a leadership-facing role that requires broad understanding of federal cybersecurity operations, technical policy, and enterprise IT environments.
Location: HYBRID; MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • 7+ years of project or program management experience with a minimum of 5 years supporting cybersecurity leadership teams or strategy/policy roles in federal settings.
  • Demonstrated experience leading highly visible, cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives within complex organizations.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in federal governance, cybersecurity strategy, stakeholder engagement, and technical planning.
  • Strong technical writing and executive communication skills, including development of presentations, briefings, and reports.
  • Proven ability to support federal leadership with high-profile event preparation and engagement logistics.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (FISMA, NIST, OMB Circular A-130, EO 13800, etc.) and legislative tracking/reporting.
  • Experience with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, and enterprise-level reporting tools.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.

  • Provide support to executive cybersecurity leadership, including direct assistance to senior leaders in managing cybersecurity strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Oversee operations under the cybersecurity engagement portfolio, ensuring effective management, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead coordination of internal and external relationships with program offices, federated agencies, and industry/government partners.
  • Support the implementation and execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity-focused technical solutions and initiatives.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all cybersecurity strategy and engagement activities, including stakeholder tracking, milestone monitoring, and strategic alignment.
  • Apply deep expertise in cybersecurity principles, federal governance, business relations, and enterprise operations to support executive decision-making.
  • Provide in-depth technical analysis and guidance on complex cybersecurity issues and technical solution design.
  • Maintain and communicate a working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, theories, and evolving industry practices.
  • Track and summarize the progress of cybersecurity-related legislation and budget resolutions, and report on their implications for cybersecurity posture and funding strategies.
  • Support executive engagement planning and coordination, including the development of presentation materials, talking points, speaker notes, and digital content (e.g., social media posts, blogs, photo captions).
  • Support internal engagements such as quarterly All Hands meetings, monthly leadership briefings, and tactical planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensures the tracking and delivery of the regular reports, dashboards, and summaries of engagement activities to senior leadership.
  • Maintain tracking resources for internal and external engagements, strategic plans, and review cycles.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and strategic offsites to validate and refine cybersecurity objectives and tactical plans.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines; review industry publications for intelligence and awareness.
  • Deliver timely and effective customer service to program stakeholders, ensuring continuous communication and issue resolution.
