ALCIVIA is growing and looking to add a full-time Senior Dairy Nutrition Sales Consultant within our Cottage Grove, WI / Whitewater, WI sales territory.   • With this position, you would receive a company vehicle.

Sales Territory Coverage: Cottage Grove, WI / Whitewater, WI.

  • The sales territory coverage is approximately within a 90-minute drive from Lake Mills, WI.
  • Daily travel is required to cover the sales territory adequately. Also, this position may need to travel for a quarterly sales meeting and/or any other ALCIVIA related meetings. There will be no overnight travel unless to attend required meetings and/or events.
  • Ideally, we want the Dairy Technical Specialist to be living within the assigned sales territory.

Pay Type: Salary plus Commission, bi-weekly.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.

The Senior Dairy Nutrition Sales Consultant provides solutions to individual dairy producers in a manner that aligns with the farm’s goals and interests to maximize productivity, profitability, and overall performance. The position will utilize information gathered on farm along with ALCIVIA’s nutrient profiles to create and balance diets for the producers. This position will work closely with teammates from Operations, Procurement, Formulation, Sales, and Customer Service to create a great customer experience for each member/customer.

  • Prospect, pursue, and develop opportunities with new dairy farms.
  • Utilize NDS to balance rations and provide technical service.
  • Become a key part of the producer’s farm management and decision-making team. Able to understand financial information and provide insights during team meetings directed towards maximizing productivity and profitability for both the producer and ALCIVIA.
  • Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with producer members and customers.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for producers, providing consistent and proactive support.
  • In collaboration with sales, engage with the customer to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Identify and capitalize on sale opportunities to drive product sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to execute promotional activities and sales initiatives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert advice on products and services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by offering timely and effective solutions to meet their needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the products and services offered, including their technical specifications, applications, and benefits.
  • Provide customers with detailed product knowledge and technical support as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements and best practices.

Senior Dairy Nutrition Sales Consultant Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum Five (5) years dairy nutrition experience.
  • Experience with nutrition management software.
  • Proven experience in sales, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the products and services within the assigned area of business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
