ABOUT THE VICTORIAN SCHOOL BUILDING AUTHORITY

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education. Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria’s largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s. The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand. We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants. With Victoria recently introducing two years of funded kindergarten, the VSBA is also working with the early childhood sector on a massive kindergarten construction program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Mandatory: Experience in gathering and documenting complex business processes.
• Mandatory: Experience in Oracle products such as Aconex, Primavera and ERP.
• Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Desirable: Considerable/demonstrated experience similar role within government.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Data Advisor - Business Analyst role is in the Infrastructure Portfolio Management Platform (IPM) team. The VSBA’s IPM platform is strengthening the VSBA’s governance by improving our infrastructure management capability and mitigating integrity, delivery, data and financial management risks across the department’s capital and operational programs portfolio. IPM is comprised of 3 complex Oracle products - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), and Aconex.
This role supports the VSBA’s IPM Platform and provides guidance, stakeholder engagement and technology support on a range of a critical IT system work. The role is responsible for the provision of comprehensive support for data and process related activities. This role collaborates closely with various stakeholders to gather and analyse various data and system needs by identifying the business requirements.
