REMOTE POSITION

The Senior Data Analyst will work with large datasets to deliver actionable insights, support business strategies, and optimize processes. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills, analytical expertise, and business acumen to provide impactful recommendations to internal and external customers alike. Decisiv has amassed data from 7 million assets over 32 million service events and is expanding how this data can be used to create value for our partners and customers.
This position will report to the Vice President of Data Services.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in a data analytic related field: mathematics, statistics, data science/analytics, machine learning, business information systems, computer science
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field is a plusExperience
  • 5 years or more experience in the field of data analytics

    Technical Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in at least one scripting language (SQL, Python, R, Spark)

  • At least 2 years of experience in querying, analyzing and working with data languages and platforms
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool (Power Bl, Tableau, Microstrategy, Business Objects)
  • Experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data, flat files)
  • Experience utilizing and developing within AWS services

    Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective time managementskillswith the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights Generation

  • Use Open Source/Digitaltechnologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms
  • Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers
  • Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
  • Help to define, develop and delivernew, innovative data products to drive further efficiency and increase value across our ecosystem

    Business Intelligence

  • Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization

  • Drive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies

    Data Quality & Integrity

  • Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions

  • Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance
  • Build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions

  • Translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights for technical and non technical audiences
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing actionable insights for decision-making
