Nine month fixed term contract opportunity
The Financial Crime Analytics team is seeing an increasingly complex and wide-ranging set of business questions as perpetrators of fraud, Scams, and AML/CTF create ever evolving ways to exploit AMP business processes.
Financial Crime Analytics is looking for a senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in the uplifting of our transaction monitoring program. This person will thrive on solving those problems with a broad range of the latest analytical tools and data striking the balance between efficiently and effectively compliant. The successful candidate will possess a blend of commercial acumen, technical/ data skills & able to work with Financial Crime teams (Operations & Compliance) to convert business questions into analytics solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive experience using relational databases and analytic tools (SQL, Python, or equivalent) to conduct analysis on data sets (technical skills will be evaluated as part of the application process)
  • Proven experience in analytic consulting and engagement with non-technical teams, with a proven ability to communicate clearly, explain and resolve issues.
  • Experience of managing data quality issues to completion, including identifying, measurement and implementing analytics solutions
  • Experience in AWS tool stack for analytics (highly regarded)
  • A natural curiosity about data, intuitive mindset, and ability to spot trends/ quality issues / anomalies in new data sources and identify ways to work around these issues
