You’ll provide clear, accurate, and timely data insights to support risk-based decision making across the organisation. You’ll design and deliver dashboards and reports that turn complex safety data into clear insights. You’ll also guide improvements in data collection and reporting, working with stakeholders across KiwiRail and external partners to ensure our systems remain reliable and future ready. This role is based in Auckland and reports to the Data Insights and Reporting Manager.     Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring: We’re looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with a collaborative, safety-focused mindset and has at least seven years of experience. You’ll bring: Expert knowledge and experience in business intelligence visualisation tools and data techniques to generate high-quality insights and create dashboards, from requirements gathering and data cleansing through to insight development A strong understanding of analytics fundamentals and how the discipline drives business and customer value, with the ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present and justify decisions appropriately for different audiences, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau, SQL/Azure/Snowflake, MS Excel, data visualisation platforms, and data warehousing concepts to effectively communicate insights and support decision-making Experience leading new initiatives in performance monitoring, applying critical thinking, and exercising sound judgment Experience in large-scale data system design, development, and implementationA tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field   Nōu te rourou | What’s in it for you: At KiwiRail, you’ll join a team that values your skills and invests in your future.
