About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with expertise in Microsoft
Power Platform, Power Query, PowerApps, PowerBI, web development,
Sharepoint, mobile application development for Android and Apple, PHP, data
structures, and Azure platform experience to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing,
developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform,
PowerBI, SQL and integration with Sharepoint. You will also be responsible for
creating robust PowerApps, web and mobile applications, including those using
PHP, that enhance our operational efficiency and business processes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business
requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Additionally, you will
leverage your knowledge of data structures and Azure platform to ensure efficient
integration with enterprise products and solutions.
This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
What you’ll be doing
The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Design, develop, and deploy applications and products that improve businessprocesses and enhance capabilities of business units and collaborators.
- Design and administer enterprise Sharepoint environments, involving Sitecollections, embedded applications, libraries, and access management
- Design, develop and administer Kizeo solutions for data capture andsubsequent workflow processing.
- Design, develop and maintain PowerBI reports based on complex data models.
- Create and manage data models and data transformations using Power Query.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Sharepoint, other Microsoft servicesand third-party applications.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate businessprocesses.
- Design and develop web applications using modern frameworks andtechnologies.
- Develop mobile applications for Android and Apple platforms.
- Develop and maintain web applications.
- Utilize data structures effectively to optimize performance and integrationwith enterprise products and solutions.
- Develop and deploy solutions using Azure services such as Azure Functions,Azure Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with enterprise/technical architects, business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and mentorship to junior developers.
- Ensure the security and scalability of Power Platform, web, mobile, and Azure solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power Platform, web, mobile, Sharepoint, Azure other digital line of business applications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Microsoft Power Platform, web development, mobile application development, PHP, data structures, Azure platform and integration solutions.
Who we’re looking for
The following skills/experience are required in this role:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, orsimilar qualifications in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software and product development.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps,Power Automate, Power BI, and Sharepoint.
- Strong proficiency in Power Query for data transformation and modelling.
- Experience with Common Data Service (CDS) and Dataverse.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, SQL, and PHP.
- In-depth understanding of APIs, data structures, ETL (Extract, Transform &Load) processes and their importance in integrating with enterprise productsand solutions.
- Experience in data visualization using BI tools creating drillable dynamicdashboards.
- Experience on data storytelling and persona led information provision.
- At least 3 years of data analysis experience using Python, R, Excel orequivalent products.
- Experience of data mining and cleaning approaches.
- Able to work in a matrix environment with flexibility to perform a range ofanalytical activities when coordinating with product and business teams.
- Agile scrum experience, and ability to work independently and as part of ateam with strong communication and interpersonal skills.The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Has a proven record in delivering continuous improvement and innovation inthe rail industry.
- Knowledge of machine learning approaches, large language models, andalgorithms.
- Some project experience in text analytics and relevant areas (e.g. textclassification, topic detection, document information extraction, sentimentanalysis, language modelling etc.).
- Experience with web development frameworks such as React, Angular, orVue.js.
- Experience in developing mobile applications for Android and Appleplatforms using tools like React Native or Flutter.
- Experience in developing statistical models (A/B testing, Regression Models)within a data science framework.
- Experience with Azure services, solution sizing, integration and performancescaling.
- Microsoft Power Platform and Azure certifications.
- Experience of Kizeo, or other low code application services.
