Loch Harbour Group is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to provide key financial and data analysis support to a government client. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in program performance monitoring, advanced data analytics, and visualization in support of financial and operational decision-making.
Requirements:

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one prior to award.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in government financial and budget cycles;
  • OR a High School diploma with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of recent experience in government financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, execution, and reporting.
  • 3 years of experience using government financial systems (e.g., Navy ERP or equivalent).
  • 2 years of recent experience using advanced MS Excel functions, SQL, Python, and/or Tableau.
  • 2 years of experience conducting data analytics using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and related presentation development tools.
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to new financial processes with minimal support.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5 years of federal grant management experience (Department of Navy or DoD preferred).
  • 3 years of experience using Navy ERP or similar DoD accounting software.
Responsibilities
  • Support government financial planning, forecasting, program budgeting, funding execution, and performance reporting.
  • Track and report financial benchmarks including commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
  • Leverage advanced analytics tools to support program decision-making.
  • Use MS Excel (advanced functions), SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI to perform data analytics and develop dashboards.
  • Prepare and present high-quality visualizations and briefings using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Learn and apply complex financial processes in real time with minimal supervision.
