Description

  • Date posted: 24/02/2025Who you are
At IKEA, you’re welcome no matter where you come from, what you believe, and what you look like. We don’t even care how you have furnished your home. We’re interested in you simply because you’re you. Our different views, backgrounds, and personalities make us better understand our customers, give us more fun at work and spark more and better ideas. Perhaps your unique take on something could lead to a great idea that creates a better everyday life for the many people.
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with experience in data analysis, pre-processing techniques, and cloud computing environments. The ideal candidate has strong SQL expertise (preferably with GCP BigQuery) and familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and collaborative software engineering practices. This role also requires experience in Technical Data Analysis or Data Quality Analysis, particularly within digital product development (experience in data warehousing, lakehousing, or data products is a plus). The ability to effectively communicate findings through data visualizations for broader audiences is essential. Unlike conventional data analysis roles, this position focuses more on data production (e.g. data quality, data transformation and enrichment) rather than data consumption (e.g. reporting, dashboarding and modelling).
As a hands-on Data Analyst, you will take part in building impactful data product using one of the world’s largest and most extensive data sets, primarily for the IKEA online store and IKEA App, creating a seamless omnichannel experience (including other digital touchpoints as well). With a growth mindset, you take ownership, collaborate with various stakeholders—including product owners and engineers—and build a network within a large organization. You are customer-focused and leverage insights from data to drive meaningful impact for them.
Most importantly, you’re excited about IKEA’s values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people!
The IKEA culture and values are very much a part of our business and day to day work life. For you to thrive and grow with IKEA, it’s important for us that you share our values! You can read more regarding our values and life at IKEA on our website www.ikea.com.
Responsibilities

-
- Conduct proactive data exploration and analysis for data quality and transformation through self-initiated stories, as well as reactive data analysis by responding to data product’s user queries and questions.
- Ensure the data quality (DQ) and accuracy of the data product, focusing on both tactical and operational data quality.
- Maintain business logic integrity and gathering insights through user surveys to improve the data product for better, data-driven decisions on users’ side.
