The trivago innovation center is seeking a passionate and seasoned Senior Data Analyst to join our DATA team. In this role, you will take the analytical lead on our disruptive product within the B2C channel. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of data structures, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to develop effective, efficient analysis solutions. You will interpret and communicate data-driven insights to inform executive decision-making, optimize product performance, and drive core business objectives. About the role How you’ll make an impact: Strategic Insights: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide deep insights into business and product performance. Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making across teams. Financial Analysis: Prepare ad-hoc analysis and detailed reports on revenue, costs, profitability, and other key financial metrics. Financial Reconciliation: Perform financial reconciliation with business partners, focusing on payment reconciliation and ongoing monitoring of financial transactions. Data Integrity: Execute rigorous data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple data sources. Continuous Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve data reporting processes, financial modeling, and forecasting accuracy. Requirements Experience & Technical Skills: Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis and interpretation, specifically supporting Marketing, Business, or Product functions. SQL: High proficiency in SQL is required. BI Systems: Strong experience with data visualization of large data sets using business intelligence tools (e.g., Sisense, Tableau, Looker). Data Infrastructure: Experience working with modern data warehouse/data lake environments (e.g., Snowflake, Athena, Redshift, BigQuery). Communication: High level of English communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Execution: Ability to make fast, data-driven decisions and apply them to facilitate performance optimizations in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines. Key Advantages (Nice to Have): Experience working with Rivery. Knowledge of Python for data analysis. Experience building and maintaining ETL processes. Knowledge of or experience with the ELK stack and Grafana.
