Description:
Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2003, Plenty of Fish is one of the early pioneers in the online dating industry, with one of the largest and most diverse communities of singles. We’re one of the top revenue-driving brands in the Match Group (comprised of Tinder, OkCupid, Hinge and Match.com).
We love what we do, and have the ability to profoundly impact millions of people’s lives every single day! Named one of BC’s Top Employers, Plenty of Fish is a great place to build friendships, grow your career and collaborate with top talent.
We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday and Wednesday and work remotely the remainder of the week!
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to uncover engagement trends, optimize user experience, and shape product strategy at POF. If you thrive on solving complex problems, analyzing large datasets, and translating insights into compelling stories, we want to hear from you!
Your primary focus will be user engagement, but you’ll also collaborate with teams across monetization, marketing, and trust & safety, working alongside data analysts in those areas.
You’ll lead experimentation efforts, designing and analyzing A/B tests to enhance user retention and product performance. Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Data Engineers, you’ll translate data into actionable strategies and present insights to executives to drive high-impact decisions.
As part of Match Group, you’ll also connect with data professionals across other leading dating brands, gaining exposure to industry best practices and expanding your expertise.
Responsibilities:
SO, WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve user engagement and retention
- Work with large-scale datasets to uncover user behaviour trends and optimize key features
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for product teams and executives
- Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, and Marketing to drive data-informed decision-making
- Work alongside other data analysts supporting monetization, marketing, and trust & safety
- Present findings to leadership, shaping company-wide initiatives and priorities.
YOU’LL BE A MATCH FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE..
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in tech, SaaS, or consumer-facing platforms
- Experience with raw clickstream data (telemetry event data) and handling datasets of 100M+ records
- Strong expertise in A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python for data analysis
- Experience working with large-scale datasets in a fast-moving, data-rich environment
- Strong business intuition - the ability to connect the dots between data and strategy
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable presenting insights to leadership

We would love to hear from you, even if you don’t match 100% of the requirements
