Senior Data Analyst   At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.   Ongoing Full-Time Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available $129,464 - $142,665 plus superannuation   About the role   The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading rigorous research and evaluation activities to support the design, delivery, and review of strategic priorities, reforms, policies and initiatives that enhance student wellbeing and promote equitable outcomes.   Coordinate and deliver research and evaluation activities, developing evidence-based recommendations to inform project planning and decision-making. Extract, analyse, and interpret data using SQL and Python to meet analytics and reporting requirements. Lead and coordinate end-to-end project planning, development, communication, and implementation across a portfolio of complex initiatives.   The Inclusion and Wellbeing Directorate drives policies and programs that strengthen access, inclusion, and wellbeing for students from pre-school to Year 12, coordinating state-wide strategy to improve participation, health, and outcomes for students with disability.   For further information please click here to view the role description.   About you   As the Senior Data Analyst you will have proven experience in:   Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and business partners to ensure advice, products, and services are delivered on time and to agreed quality standards. Prepare high-quality correspondence, briefings, advice, and other documentation, synthesising information from credible data sources using sound research and analysis techniques. Lead, mentor, and build staff capability to support implementation of the Unit’s work plan and maximise team performance. Lead project teams as required, ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and quality frameworks to deliver key project milestones and outcomes. Support the directorate in responding to Ministerial correspondence, briefings, and other requests, including external inquiries, by providing accurate, timely information and advice. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.       Essential requirements of the role Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or equivalent workplace experience in undertaking research and evaluation.
