Senior Data Analyst Location: Warsaw or Łódź (Hybrid: 3 days/week in the office) Salary: 110 - 130 per hour Type of work: B2B agreement Company: Our client is a global institution in the banking industry, partnering with us to expand their data and analytics capabilities. About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join an Agile team within the banking sector. In this role, you will be responsible for working with large data sets, shaping ETL flows, and ensuring top-tier data quality for regulatory reporting purposes. Key Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, harmonize, and validate large data sets across multiple source systems. Design, document, and maintain data structures, data mappings, and ETL flows. Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability to support regulatory reporting requirements. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements, ensuring formal sign-off. Analyze financial and accounting data, including balance sheet structures and financial instruments. Create and maintain metadata documentation, including data lineage, sources, assumptions, and reporting obligations. Support the functional design of end-to-end data and reporting solutions, including controls and reconciliation processes. Work with SQL databases (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL) to extract, transform, and analyze data. Utilize AI tools to improve efficiency and identify opportunities for process automation and innovation. Manage tasks and collaborate within Agile teams using Jira. Requirements: 5-10 years of relevant work history (Senior level). Proven experience in working with large data sets and professional proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL, etc.). Ability to define and document data structures and ETL flows within and across applications. Good knowledge of accounting and balance sheet structures, including various financial instruments. Experience in documenting metadata (data origins, assumptions) to meet regulatory obligations. Strong communication skills with the ability to drive discussions with business stakeholders and formalize requirements. Skills in utilizing AI to make work efficient and introduce new use cases. Working proficiency in JIRA. Nice to have: Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and quality expectations (e.g., CRR, BCBS239). Proven track record in creating reporting IT solutions with various technologies, databases, BI Tools, and calculation engines producing regulatory metrics.
